It does show some wear- mainly some light rust and some scratches. The lighter mechanism does still work.

The tripod legs fold in together just as a real one would.
It is marked "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN" on the bottom. That dates it to somewhere between 1945 and 1952.
