Traditionally, the Brigid's Cross is woven from reeds or straw. I adapted these techniques to metal (with a few false starts!), and used forged wire to create this pendant in the old traditions but in a new way.
Once I had made a really lovely one, I used it as the master for casting some duplicates. I'm very pleased with the results- I think they have all the charm of the handmade ones, and the dainty size, the more affordable price and the patination add appeal!
1.25 inches (3.2 cm) high by 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) wide, with a hidden bail on the back for a cord or chain. The bail (pictured in the second photo) is D-shaped, and 5mm deep by 4mm tall.
This pendant comes in a small box and includes a cord and an anti-tarnish square.
