hello old friend - embroidered diorama

Hello old friend is embroidered with soy silk, bamboo, wool and cotton floss on antique homespun and hand dyed linen. The porcelain doll arm is from Germany and was dug from the earth from the grounds of an old doll factory that operated between 1890-1910. On the background hangs an antique embroidery with crochet trim that I dyed. It is framed in a reclaimed barn wood frame made for me by Jim who runs the Etsy shop barnwood4u. It is backed in antique linen and rayon/wool blend felt. The piece measures 7 inches x 7 inches by 3 1/2 inches. It can be hung on the wall or can sit on a table or shelf.
