the Bride and Groom Cats, like all my other creations, are handcrafted and made from my own pattern. Pincushion Cats Kimmy and Grant are completely functional pincushions for sewers or can be used as cool decorative pieces. The majority of these pincushions are hand sewn. This item consists of 2 cat pincushions and 30 assorted pins. The extra pins shown in certain pictures are not included.
The bride cat is made of white felt. The face consists of 2 pink ballpoint pins for the eyes, 1 yellow ballpoint pin for the nose and 12 straight pins that make up the mouth and whiskers (6 for whiskers and 6 for the mouth). Her paws are made from white pom poms. She has a white iridescent lace skirt (PLEASE NOTE THE LACE SKIRT MAY DIFFER SLIGHTLY FROM THE PICTURE DUE TO THE SUPPLIES I HAVE ON HAND) and a beaded tulle cathedral veil. The veil is attached by a white headband with rhinestones on it. She has a clear iridescent bead necklace and a blue garter around her right leg. She is carrying a bouquet of pink and blue flowers.
The groom cat is made of white felt. The face consists of 2 blue ballpoint pins for the eyes, 1 black ballpoint pin for the nose and 12 straight pins that make up the mouth and whiskers (6 for whiskers and 6 for the mouth). His paws are made from white pom poms. He has a black suit with tails and a black top hat. He has a black bow tie and a pink flower in his jacket lapel. (If you're prefer a blue flower instead, just let me know in "Note from Buyer" at time of purchase. )
The bride stands approximately 5.25 inches (13.25 cms) tall and measures approximately 10.5 inches (26.75 cms) around the belly. The groom stands approximately 6.25 inches (15.75 cms) tall and measures approximately 10.75 inches (27.25 cms) around the belly.
Both cats are firmly stuffed with 100% polyester fiberfill. I also made a sand pouch from cotton fabric and sewed that inside the pincushions which gives them more stability. The sand is wrapped first in a plastic bag (just to make sure no sand will ever escape) and then it gets sealed inside the cotton fabric pouch.
