Since joining Postcrossing (http://www.postcrossing.com/about), I have started to appreciate the miniature art found on postage stamps. Now I have an interesting way to display them and at the same time found a new use for old glass jars- Stamp Lamps!
PLEASE NOTE: This Stamp Lamp has a chip along the top of the jar (visible in the 1st and 4th photos). I have reduced the price to reflect this but I don't think it takes away from the look of the lamp :-)
This Stamp Lamp is approximately 4 3/4" (12cm) tall and 2 1/8" (5.5cm) in diameter, at the top. A white tealight is included.
Of course these jars can also be used for other purposes, perhaps a pencil pot for your desk, or as a quirky flower vase. Whilst the varnish will provide some water resistance, this item is not waterproof, so please don't immerse it in water.
This listing is for the blue Stamp Lamp on the right in the first and last pictures, the others are sold separately.
***Never leave a burning candle unattended.
***Allow the jar to cool before touching/moving it.
***Take care when lighting the candle inside the jar- I recommend you use a long taper candle to light it, or a gas lighter if you have one in the kitchen.
Please have a look at my other items and message me if you have any questions, thank you!
