the arctic fox was inspired by a novel i was reading one year around christmas time, when i found myself trapped, of all places, on a cruise ship in the caribbean. it was “the blue fox” by the icelandic poet sjón.
it seems the arctic fox possesses the qualities of a spiritual guide - maybe due to its perfect adaptation to its harsh environment. its elusiveness has driven many hunters out into the highlands, its swiftness however makes it nearly impossible to catch.
