This larger sized black leather medicine bag is completely handmade and unique. All seams are hand-punched and hand-stitched w/ thin strips of leather that were cut from the same skin.
It measures approximately 6 1/2" wide by 10" tall w/ 14" more inches of fringe. The braided strap is approx. 32" long.
It has an additional exterior pocket that measures 4" x 4" which I designed to be the perfect size for credit cards, ID, metro card, etc...but with a flap to keep them protected.
I've been collecting leather skins for over 15 years now, so since moving to Maine, I finally have the time to create something out of them! Perhaps due to my Cherokee Indian heritage, I've always been a collector of Native American Indian Medicine Bags, so I decided to make my own. I think they give just the right earthy compliment to any outfit, whether it's tweeds and jods, denim or a little black dress.
