vintage DEAR DIARY 1950s locket

A mid century book locket with an engraved "cover." The locket is base metal plated in a low carat gold with a warm patina. The face of the locket has diagonal machining, deeply engraved scrolls, and a space at the center for initials. The verso is plain. The locket hinges open from the side to a two-compartment interior. The compartments have oval frames with the original picture rings intact. There is discoloration to the metal in the picture frames, but this would be easily covered with photographs. The locket closes with a tight snap. I've added a 14K gold fill link chain.
