What a fun, cheerful necklace! Large mother-of-pearl coins and semiprecious stone chips are hand-knotted on silk thread and then joined with a length of chain and a hook clasp so that the necklace can be worn anywhere from 13.5" to 18.5" long. At the end of the chain is a decorative weight made with smaller mother-of-pearl coins that have been threaded on a T-pin which is bent over and wrapped to turn it into a little hanging pendant.
