Lost every day, no map to follow
Entire days, weeks, a blur..."

"Bleeding Heart Necklace"
An asymmetrical design, this delicate sterling silver necklace balances five pale green chubby fluorite hearts with a delicate hand chained strand of tiny emerald rondels in the prettiest seafoam green. Each tiny faceted emerald seems to glow from within. I wish the photos could capture that tiny internal light. Where the two sections meet is suspended a darker green fluorite heart capped with a cluster of warm gems including spessartine garnet briolettes and rondels, carnelian and ruby rondels, fire opal saucers and fancy sterling saucers, each hand hung on a sterling headpin. This larger fluorite heart was selected because it has an internal inclusion that looks for all-the-world like the track of cupid’s arrow. See if you can find it in the photos! From the bottom of the heart hangs a sterling drop reminiscent of the Bleeding Heart flower. As if this symbolism isn’t enough … the chain going around the neck is made from tiny silver heart-shaped links that lead to a lobster claw clasp and a long drop that allows for length adjustments. This extender is decorated with carnelian rondels and a teardrop that is topped with an echo of rondels in carnelian, fire opal, ruby, rhodochrosite, chrysoprase and silver. Coming and going this necklace is a statement of love. A perfect, yet subtle way to memorialize your loved one.
