My cup has never emptied, most of the time it has been full, often Overflowing and automatically shared. And that was recognized immediately when this set came up from the workshop and into Connie's hands.
Mother Nature had created all these wonderful spalted design lines... Exactly like the never-ending flow of fresh clean drinkable waters. Since this may not be quite so evident to everyone, it was necessary to bring out the permanent blue fine-tipped marker to outline the river flowing and splashing abundantly, and then to fill it all in with blue aniline dyes.

Both pieces have been sanded (lots), varathaned for protection and durability. The layers of varathane have given a slight yellow cast to the blue, so that it 'reads' more like an aqua (accidentally but suitably) blue!
HOWEVER! please do not fill with Real Water! (it is only for pretend!) you could fill with a dried flower arrangement; or place clean sand inside and stand a few beautiful raven or goose feathers in it... that would embody three of the 'elements': earth(wood) water(obvious) and air(flight). Please do not add the fourth element(fire)!
Which reminds me, wood products prefer not to be stored in direct sun (wood usually darkens from exposure over time) or heat (dries it out, becomes brittle).
This will need to be shipped in a larger than usual box (room for a smaller item or two with no additional shipping if you want to justify the outrageous fee with an extra gift ~sorry, sigh).
