.. this softly ethereal dress started out as an old vintage St. Micheal lacy slip dress, so pretty already but it was destined for bigger things!
It is now a longer length dress, with so much added detail, beading and applique work. I've used some exquisite cotton lace pieces, (vintage and antique), glass pearls, beaded lace butterfly at the top front, 1930's rhinestones, a beautiful carved antique mother of pearl button in an unusual shape, tatted lace and more. It is a lined nylon vintage dress, still slightly sheer and can be easily worn on it's own with the right shade of underwear, or layered with other garments.
Great as a very special occasion dress or for an evening out sipping an iced Mojito, very dreamy ;-)
The front drapes to a point at the hem and the back is a shorter length.The original vintage label states: St.Michael Lingerie. Made in Gt.Britain. Size 16. Bust 38".
Here are the measurements:
armpit to armpit lying flat: 17" (plus stretch) - (34" all aound)
waist: 32" (with very little stretch)
hips: 37"
Length from top of shoulder strap to lowest pint of front hem: 57"
Length at the back: 43"
