The Freshwater Pearl Heart Earrings feature special pearls. Once in awhile when I'm looking for matching pearls for earrings, I'll find a heart shaped one, and it always feels like a "good Luck" moment! I set these aside in a little stash. Eventually some of these begin to have a friendly match with each other. Here is a pair of teeny tiny dark purple - gray - blue pearls with lots of sunset iridescent color...a gorgeous peach pink wash of color lights them up when the light hits just right.

These lovely little triangular naturally heart shaped pearls are 1/4 inch across, or approximately 6.5 x 5 x 4mm- and have the normal wrinkles and ridges found in freshwater pearls, but both are lucky enough to have a tiny ridge at the top which makes them hearts. They are not exactly the same because Mother Nature doesn't do that, but they are a good match.

I have mounted them on dark oxidized bead-tipped headpins and wrapped them to artisan made oxidized sterling silver circular hooks. The earwires are 17mm across, and the length of these petite earrings is 2.7cm, or just under 1-1/8 inches.
