Before I start, I wanted to let you know that all my "found object" creations are custom pieces. There will never be another piece exactly like it because my found parts dictate what the end result will be. All creations can be used outdoors or for decoration inside. All of them are weatherproof and fully built with the idea that creations could dwell in them. I try to use all "found" parts in hopes to recycle items and extend their life and keep them away from landfills. I guess you could call them "green creations."
This fine Mason Bee House has a central structure of leftover 2x4 wood pieces. They were cut to size and screwed together then the appropriately sized holes (5/16) were drilled in them in a pattern. The size of the house are cut pieces of antique license plates. The roof is an old metal tray that was flipped over and cut flush in the back. The piece I cut off was used as the decoration for the "crown" piece on top. An old movie camera gear, a metal bee, and some end pieces of old spoons complete the look. The chimney was made with copper plumbing parts and features a copper mesh smokestack. Along the bottom is an old brass banding strip with three antique copper numbered nails.

All of my pieces are carefully and securely packaged. If shipping seems a little higher, it's because there's some handling involved to make sure your one-of-a-kind item arrives safely to you. I offer FREE INSURANCE that is including in the shipping and handling price.
