Okay, so I was wondering what all the fuss is about cake truffles (also called cake balls and cake bites). I decided to give it a whirl…a gluten free whirl.
And…wow! Now I understand! They’re rich and moist and decadent. A real treat.
My cake truffles are made from my original gluten free chocolate cake recipe and frosting. I don’t use a pre-made cake mix or canned frosting. And I use real chocolate to coat them, not candy melts or waxy confectioners chocolate. This is the real deal!
Whether you adhere to a gluten free diet or not, you will enjoy these truffles. Great for a party when some of your guests may have gluten sensitivites. Nobody will know the difference!
Your order will consist of 10 cake truffles. These two-bite truffles are approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter. The order totals approximately 11 ounces.
You can choose to have them all the same or you can pick two different varieties from those listed below. All truffles are made with chocolate cake and are coated in dark chocolate.
Crème de Menthe Cake Truffles – mint-infused chocolate cake topped with bits of Andes candies (Andes candies are gluten free and are not processed in a plant which handles food containing gluten)
Coconut Cake Truffles – chocolate cake with sweet coconut sprinkled on top
Celebration Cake Truffles – chocolate cake with sprinkles on top
Or, if you prefer, truffles can be coated in chocolate and drizzled with icing in the color of your choice.
Your order will arrive boxed and ribbon-wrapped, ready for gift giving. If you are giving these truffles as a gift, I would be happy to include a note from you. Please convo me with your message or include this info when you place your order.
PLEASE READ: If your order is being shipped to a warm weather location, I recommend that you ship them to a work address (if you have one) to prevent the truffles from being left out in the sun during the day. They are not perishable, but the chocolate coating may soften when exposed to high temperatures.
