I have sterling silver sheet,
And sterling silver wire.
A cool, soothing green chrysoprase stone
They need some pattern ...
... texture ...
I carefully shaped and soldered a frame for the stone from sterling silver sheet and wire in my little workshop here in Melbourne, Australia.
I ruffled the edges of the metal for detail and texture using a flat punch,
lulled by the steady rhythm of my hammer.
A tapered ring band completed this lovely piece and I went about setting the stone by hand.
An oxidized finish was applied, then rubbed back to reveal those pretty ruffles.
My little flower stamp lets you know I crafted it.
A truly tactile ring with a simple shape perfectly suited to the stone that it holds and so comfortable to wear!
