A long coat felted of a combination of highly weatherproof Finn wool and soft luxurious merino wool.
The inner layer is of lightgrey finn and the outer layer is of merino that I dyed to resemble the high plains here above the treeline. Seeminly on the end of the world, no trees grow. Not even bushes. Everything is covered by a thin layer of lichen and moss. Wind cuts through everything, here is the domain of the reindeer.
It has a long zipper going from the lower edge up to the hoody.
The pockets are sewn on to the outside of the same felt ensuring warm hands.
Along the hoody and in the front of the closure is a trimming of beautiful dark brown leather. The neckline closes by means of a metal buckle.
The sleeves are extra long so you can fold them down to draw your hands in.
It is good protection against the elements, while still being very light. Merino’s surface is hydrophobic, which means it repels water. Consequently, after a brief shower, water will tend to bud on the surface of a Merino garment, and can be brushed off. However, the Merino fibre has a very significant capacity to absorb moisture vapour. Wool can absorb up to 35% of it's own weight in water before it feels wet.
Washing of wool is not really needed as it repels dirt very well, with a brush simply brush it off once dry. Spot clean as needed. If you really need to wash it simply hang it in the shower and spray it, do not use soap as that will dissolve the natural oils in the wool which make the coat be so very water repellant.
This coat will fit EU size 36 to 40
