Cat Pincushion Ladybug Lacey is a completely functional pincushion for sewers or can be used as a cool decorative piece. The majority of this pincushion was hand sewn. Lacey, like all my other creations, is handcrafted and made from my own patterns.

This item consists of 1 cat/ladybug pincushion and 15 assorted pins.

This pincushion is made out of black, red and white felt. The ladybug parts of the pincushion are made of red and black and the cat parts are made out of white. To make it look like she's wearing a a ladybug costume, I sewed a circular piece of white felt onto the face. Her face consists of 2 red ballpoint pins for the eyes, 1 black ballpoint pin for the nose and 12 straight pins that make up the mouth and whiskers (6 for whiskers and 6 for the mouth). The 3 extra pins shown in certain pictures are not included. Her feet are made from black pom poms (and she has 6 because she's a ladybug). Her white cat tail is sticking out in the back. I stitched 6 black dots onto her back and used a piece of black embroidery floss to divide the wings. She has 2 antenna made from thin black pipe cleaners with small black pom poms at the top and a red bow attached to the base of each one. Her white cat ears stick out behind them. And to make it look even more like she's in a ladybug costume, I stitched in a fake lace-up with embroidery floss. She is firmly stuffed with 100% polyester fiberfill. I also made a sand pouch from cotton fabric and sewed that inside the pincushion which gives her more stability. The sand is wrapped first in a plastic bag (just to make sure no sand will ever escape) and then it goes into the cotton fabric pouch.

She stands, with antenna, approximately 6 inches (15.25 cms) tall and measures approximately 10.5 inches (26.25 cms) around the belly.
