The quilt kit includes:
- fusible interfacing, Pellon® 911F or equivalent
- prewashed cotton fabric sashing strips
- polar fleece
- vinyl template
- 100 yards of matching thread
- marking pen
The sashing fabric is a lovely royal blue with mini black dots. This unisex color can coordinate or contrast with your quilt squares. The backing fabric is a comfy non-pill polar fleece.
The entire kit comes in an adorable, upcycled men's button down drawstring bag which can be used to hold the quilt or for any other purpose, shown in the last photo.
All you need to do is head to the closet and cut out the shirts! Be as creative as you want. Use T shirts, sweatshirts, even button-down shirts! (No buttons if it's for a baby.)
What a wonderful way to create a special bond between Daddy and baby! But it doesn't have to be just dad's shirts. Mix some of mom's in, too - or use all of mom's tees for a Mommy quilt! You are only limited by your creativity and imagination.
This quilt is a practical item. Throw it on the floor for baby to play. Use it in the stroller, car, on a picnic or at the beach.
