Teabag paper..the paper that teabags are made from.
NOT teabag FOLDING paper but a very versatile tissue that can be dyed, painted, stitched, transfer printed and used as a fabric. If ironed onto interfacing it can be used as a fabric for free machine embroidery. It also irons on to itself and can be layered to form a fairly substantial thickness of fabric.
Its stronger than normal tissue when wet (but must be handled with reasonable care). It has a 'perforation' pattern on it which makes it look a bit like a woven fabric.
The photos show a piece in the background that I have dyed using the folding a dipping method -shibori- which works really well with this paper.
And the last picture shows a fun day I had dyeing my papers.
I also used it to make this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7377249
