Imagine gracing the Renaissance court in this beautiful 16th century ensemble! This complete costume includes in detail the following:
-Looking for elaborate detail combined with earthy tones? This outfit fits the bill! Below you'll find the main details. Regal brown, tan & red tapestry fabric and a mixture of burnt orange corduroy velvet make up the base materials. The fully boned bodice features a cream pearl studded front with hand sewn lattice of glass gold beads endged in intricate brown velvet trim. The back of the self-lined bodice closes with brass grommets and has a large modesty panel for size allowance. A skirt-like peplum attaches to the bottom of the bodice with a elegant line of the same dark gold rattail trim that surrounds the entire neckline. The same trims and fabrics are used to create the rich looking shoulder rolls. Loose gauntlet sleeves (open front edge secured with cording and eyelets in multiple place so the undershirt can be seen) connect to the bodice with a hidden button.
-This over 3 yard skirt (128 inches arount), completely made with the same fabulously elegant tapestry fabric, closes in the back with grommets and a modesty panel. A hanging trimmed piece of velvet corduroy hooks onto the base of the wide waistband in front.
We have included a beautiful unique French hood featuring handbeading, matching trims, & a white pleated coif on a wired buckram base. A brown/purple lightweight cotton veil is attached in the back. This is an original Matti's Millinery head piece made specifically for this outfit and designed after Elizabethean headpieces. A $110 value!
