Two skinny plies on my Majacraft Rose became one beautiful yarn, complete with NO KNOTS. Soft, and with the sheen of the bambo. There is more than enough for socks here, but also, plenty for a small shoulder shawlette such as the Multnomah (knitting) or the Klamath (crochet) (both free on Ravelry.)
Dyed brightly in the roving (shown, but not part of the listing anymore), with colorfast/washfast/lightfast Jacquard acid dyes, then heat set until rinsing clear, the yarn was rinsed once again after plying and the water ran completely clear. Even, balanced, delightful to knit with (and it was fun to spin too...)
The lowdown:
60/40 Merino Wool/Bamboo Blend
Handdyed, handspun
approximately 5.6 ounces/480+yards
2ply, fingering/sport/light dk weight
Hand wash and rinse gently in warm water, air dry flat.
This yarn comes from a smoke-free house with dogs who visit occasionally but never get near the room where the yarns dwell. It was thoroughly washed in a sweet wool wash bath. Still, if you are very sensitive, you should know about this...
