Layers of lace, corsets, extravagant hats, pearls and cameos- all seemed to be the rage in the Victorian era. This necklace was created for the March EBW challenge with the theme "Fashion Through the Ages" It would look perfect on that Victorian lady- or any modern woman who would like to add a feminine touch to her outfit!

The detail on these tiny painted flowers is amazing!

The cabochon is bead embroidered, surrounded by cream colored pearl AB finished seed beads and rose colored crystals. Accents of gold and white pearl seed beads carry through to the lacy border and neckchain. The base of the neckchain is more rose Swarovski crystals and Swarovski pearls. The focal is backed with recycled cream colored leather.

The leather is branded with my personal logo, showing that you have an original OOAK piece. It also carries the Roycroft Renaissance mark, assuring you that it is made to the highest standards with "Head, Heart and Hand"

The closure is a secure hand beaded toggle containing no metal.

The neck chain measures 22" long, but can be worn shorter by pulling the chain farther through the toggle loop.

the porcelain cabochon is about 1 1/2" diameter

with the "lace", the focal measures about 3 1/2" across
