The Mariposa Butterfly Ruffles Skirt gets its name from the tuxedo-style ruffles along the hem of this skirt that look like little butterfly wings. Shown here in chocolate brown pinwale corduroy, a very lightweight denim, and coral pink cotton, but it can made in so many different fabrics. Please note: This is the same pattern shown in other listings with the denim as the listing photo.
Features above knee length, 2 rows of butterfly ruffles along the hem, two rows of elastic and an itty bitty ruffle at the waist. Includes sizing for 12mo to 12 years, so you’ll be able to get many years of use from this one pattern.
Suitable for beginners with a few other sewing projects under your belt.
The skirt pattern pieces are all rectangles easily cut with a ruler and rotary cutter or scissors, so no paper pattern pieces are required – saving you time. This tutorial-style pattern is a PDF file with 40+ color photos, sketches, and step-by-step detailed instructions.
