The basket has been treated with diluted acrylic paint to stiffen the surfaces making the basket firm to the touch.
The basket would be perfect for any lovers of blue jeans, teenage (boys) who don't want 'pretty pretty' for their room, or basically anywhere you have things you would like to store in a rustic, but yet stylish manner.
The basket is woven using an old Scandinavian basket weaving technique. Traditionally the baskets were woven from birch bark. I have over the years been exploring making these baskets out of all kinds of paper and material and it always amazes me how, eventhough using the same bacis technique, all the baskets changes 'personality' depending on the type of fabric or paper used.
