So my necklace started with this grey quartz stone: I picked this stone as it did not “pop out” amid other stones because of the lack of vibrant colors but I loved its smoothness and translucency and hints of green. Hence, the challenge was to bring this quartz out in a vibrant, very oriental way!
The galvanized saffron/orange seed beads imposed themselves as a dominant finish to contrast strikingly with the stone, thereby bring it “out”
I added fringes –ending in lustered vibrant royal blue drops- for "drama".
For the necklace, I created segments using different beading styles and different bead finishes: the twisted beadwoven Cellini segments add a sophisticated touch and stand out by being surrounded by crackled Czech glass beads.
That way, the necklace has different interesting beading styles in it that invite the eyes to “travel”: the focal point and the Cellini segments are spaced out not to “compete” with each other.
I love the originality of this necklace: from the quartz stone to the orange seed beads (orange being a more “difficult” color to use, in my opinion), the fringes with drops and cube beads, here is a necklace that celebrates fashion with a sunny oriental touch!
And it goes with any color and outfit!!!!
