The Sweetwater Bag knits up quickly using two strands of worsted weight wool. The felted fabric is thick, soft and durable so you can use this bag everyday instead of just special occasions. There is very little seaming and you can make this bag with leather handles or felted handles. You can also make this bag longer if you wish, instructions are included for adding length. Pattern is written so that a beginning knitter can easily make this bag. The hardest part is deciding what color to make!

Pattern directions include lots of color pictures, very detailed knitting instructions, definitions of stitches used and complete instructions for turning your knitted bag into a beautiful felted bag using your washing machine. You will also receive my tutorial "Simple Linings for Knitted and Crocheted Bags" for lining the bag with fabric.
Materials needed:
16" and 29" circular knitting needles in size 13
100% wool worsted weight yarn, suggested yarn Patons Classic Wool (670 yards)
20" leather handles (the ones pictured are available at www.radcliffestrapworks.etsy.com)
decorative metal snaps (if you wish to make your leather straps removable from bag for cleaning)
button, snap or magnetic closure for pocket flap
magnetic closure for top of bag (if desired)
large pins
stitch holders
stitch markers
yarn needle
directions for felting are included
Gauge: 11 stitches and 16 rows per four inches in stockinette stitch
Finished bag measurements: approx. 14" wide, 7 1/2" high, 2 1/2" deep (bag can be made longer, the cream colored bag in the bottom picture is about 3 inches longer than the two others pictured, instructions are included if you would like to add length, additional yarn would be required)
