First, let's begin with the words: I call these little words, organza ornaments! The following words are printed on organza fabric: "Joyful" "Delightful" "Vibrant" and then there is a special hand-stamped paper piece that says "Scatter Joy."
Then the batik background fabric in orange, begins with hand stamping for texture with paintstiks paint, and acrylic paint using bubble wrap and fruit bags for texture!
Fused fabric flowers stem from a lime green ZIPPER! So fun! Lots of thread details in free motion as well as decorative stitches combine to make this fun-loving little quilt a charming collage. Absolutely an original!
Black threads, turquoise threads, silver foil, glitter, paintstiks and velvet trim and even a small little yo-yo ornament... all combine for a very lighthearted and very bright, whimsical JOYFUL art piece.
Then... last but not least, is the hand-sewn, time-consuming, but oh-so-worth-it, curved edge binding, done not in just one fabric, but two fabulous prints; one a purple batik with bright aqua accents, and the other a black and white contemporary print that lends itself to the boldness of the quilting done in black thread throughout this piece.
