The theme for the Etsy Beadweavers' March 2011 Challenge was Fashion Through the Ages. We were to choose a style or period from fashion history and design a piece of jewelry to fit that style/period. I have chosen to design for the late 60's period and came up with this colorful, happy revamp of the daisy motif.
Flower power is a swinging 32" necklace composed of three bead woven daisy chain strands closed with a toggle clasp sporting, what else?, a daisy motif. I used vintage faceted black beads as the daisy centers, while the petals are made from shades of purple, orange, blue, yellow, pink and green seed beads.
