After a long career as a kindergarten principal, my aunt is about to retire and is lately busy cycling in the nature, crocheting beautiful blankets and spending time with her grandson.
Creating this blanket has taken many a cozy evening in front of the fire in my aunt's village home and it comes in a satisfyingly grand size - 216 squares, designed in 24 larger squares of rainbow colors, each containing 9 pieces.
The size of individual squares is 4.5x4.5 inch / 11.5x11.5 cm. Larger squares are 12.8x12.8 inch / 32.5x32.5 cm. Overall size of the blanket is 82x55 inch / 210x140 cm.
