I threw this bowl on the potter's wheel and fired it twice in an electric kiln. This bowl has cutouts of three curlicues. It is cut through the rim, allowing you to slip in the yarn. You can also slip the yarn through some of the other cutouts.
When you're not knitting (or if knitting is not your thing), you can use it as a candy bowl, or as a catch-all for your keys and change, or you could sit a pillar candle on the bottom.
The bowl is 3 1/2 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches in diameter.
