Two beautiful smoke fired clay donuts are suspended from an ndebele rope necklace to create this one of a kind necklace. Arianrhod (which means "round wheel" in Welsh) is simple, modern, and earthy all at the same time with its matte metallic dark bronze and matte sand colored beads. The colors of the delicas I used for the necklace mimic the colors in the focals.

I chose to suspend the donuts from bails I created using the peyote stitch - one bail is predominantly the darker bronze beads, and the other is predominantly the pale sand colored beads. Each of the focals is different and unique, with pale sand colored lines that are the result of the firing process. The ndebele rope (a technique also known as tubular herringbone) is made from the same beads used for the bails.
