I just liked that they screamed vintage, had a lovely floral design, albeit bold and bright, in orange and brown on yellow painted canisters. The lids are pretty snug; one of the knobs is a little loose but still functioning fine. you can see some scuff marks in the photos but overall these are super fine for their age!
Measure 6 1/2 X 6, 5 1/2 X 5 1/2, 5 X 5, and 4 X 4 inches. Three have stickers on the bottom that say "Wales Reg US Pat Off Made in Japan" but I've had a dickens of a time with research. Have found info on wooden canisters made by Wales but not the Bakelite.
