marie byrd land is part of western antarctica east of the ross ice shelf and the ross sea. it constitutes the largest land on Earth unclaimed by any nation. it was named after the wife of one of the early explorers of the south pole, admiral byrd, in 1929.
this is a 5-pack of original linocut vintage style print postcards. i use high-quality, acid-free heavy cardstock for the postcards. “vintage style” indicates that these linocut postcards have the typical “raw” linocut look to them – hence every postcard looks a little bit different from the others, each one is unique.
the postcards come in a beautifully folded origami envelope, where you can store them. the envelope is made from high-quality tracing paper and is completely glue-free.
