Geeks like beer. Like most, they like to advertise that fact, but are sometimes uncomfortable hanging a beer poster with a buxom bikini babe on their wall (especially when the geek is a she). So what's a techie to do?
Well, if you take the periodic table of elements, and combine the atomic symbols for beryllium and erbium, you get Be Er. Our geek research subjects have unanimously agreed that this is a sufficiently technical way to tell the world you're a beer fan. Its kind of like saying you're a normal guy, just smarter.
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy." To which we add, "Geeks, too."
