These enamel opera glasses are extremely hard to find in such fantastic condition, as most have wear and chipping to the enamel. Not this pair, they are in perfect condition.
There is no damage to the optics, enamel or metal, and the fly wheel works smoothly to adjust the viewing.
They measure approximately 3 3/4 inches in width by 2 1/2 inches in length and are about 2 inches in height.
They are hallmarked around the eye pieces "Chevalier Paris", and "Paris" on one of the plates of the neck.
They are from the 1880's or older. After a little research on the Chevaliers, I've learned that the company closed around 1889. It makes sense since the other items I found along with these glasses were all dated around 1888 or earlier.
