What do you get when a spinner starts breeding sheep to satisfy her own spinning preferences? American silksheep; long, lustrous, very soft wool with lots of crimp. I'm happy to say it also takes dye beautifully. This breed and its unique fiber is locally bred in New Jersey. I purchased the prepared fiber directly from the shepherd at the Garden State Sheep Breeder's festival and I am very excited to make it available here.
This collection has 4 different colorways immersion dyed by me and two undyed samples. Each "bonbon" is at least 7g and the entire sampler is at least 48g/1.5oz.
White roving: undyed, Mint Jelly, Rose Red.
Brown combed top: undyed, Poison Apple, Purple Moo.
