3 lb of laundry soap will clean approx. 75 loads of laundry, using 1 Tablespoon per load. If the it is a very dirty load, like if your little boys have been playing in the backyard all day, you could use 2 Tablespoons - otherwise, 1 Tablespoon seems to be just fine.
I always wash in hot water. The money I save making my own soap, more than makes up for the higher gas bill, in fact, it's still cheaper than buying store products!
Yes, I do use Stain Pre Treatment Spray - my own recipe. I'll send it along with every purchase of laundry soap.
I also use 1 C (ish) of plain white vinegar in my rinse cycle to soften and stop static cling. And No, my clothes or house do not smell like vinegar!!! :) It's a great germ killer too, in fact, we use vinegar to clean lots of things in the house.
The soap is shipped in double ziplock bags. If you'd like a label for your laundry container, just let me know the size, I'll include it in the package at no extra charge.
******Testimonials from those who have used our soap*******

Your laundry soap is hands down the VERY best I have EVER used to pre-wash cotton fabrics! It gets all of the nasty sizing and dye-smell out...and leaves the fabric so fresh and so clean...totally ready to apply interfacing and make it "ready for the needle".
