Super cool book full of the swooping, soothing, continuous lines of form drawing. Instruction, explanations, examples.
Rudolf Steiner, founder of the Waldorf educational movement, introduced form drawing as a series of well balanced steps that lead to an unfolding of creative forces. It's a beautiful teaching method that uses the elements of movement and form.
"It is like a journey from one thought or experience to the next through logical stages and rhythmical enhancements, all expressed in a linear form. When form drawing, your effort of will is engaged in drawing carefully in clear and decisive movements that are free but not loose, held but not rigid; your thinking is engaged in concentrating on the accuracy of the drawing process, whilst at the same time imagining the complete form; and your feeling for balance and harmony is actively engaged throughout to make the form beautiful."
Clean, glossy pages, oversized softcover. Clean copy, in very good condition. Corners slightly bumped and back lower corner of the cover is creased.
