The depth (from front to back) is 3/4" to 1", and it is fully 3-dimentional with the backs of the Rabbis fully sculpted, as well (not flat or unfinished on the back). The fourth photo shows the back of the menorah (and the Rabbi's). It is designed to be a tabletop piece to be viewed from either side, with equal artistic value (so, you could say that there is no "back side" to the menorah).
