A Musical Doll in a steampunk style with a leather top hat and hand sculpted head and hands. Spooky Doll. Assemblage Doll. As I strolled the isles of my favorite Thrift Museum a small little once loved Christmas ornament caught my eye and all was damaged except for the head and arms and that is what I started this piece with. This is usually how my items begin, with a once loved item longing to be loved just one more time.

First we found some hair and then I just knew that a fancy steampunk top hat was just the thinng to bring her back to life, so we started the makeover. The base of the little stylish girl is a musical wind up which plays the song from "Dr. Zhigavo".

A twist of the key and The Steampunk Doll turns around and around in glee as the tinkling tune plays it's love song. With beaded jewels and her Ladies Auxillary badge she twirls around in a Steampunk dress by the famous designer Vampsace. Her base is a tangled adornment of copper, distressed brass, chains, buttons, recycled jewelry, wires, beads and a silvered heart.

The Steampunk Doll is approximately 7 inches tall, the base is 3 by 2 1/2 inches and the arms are attached to wire and are movable and can be positioned.
