This is a lovely set of earrings and necklace from the 1950's that I bought in a flea market in the 1980's. It is unmarked but looks exactly like marked Coro pieces found on other internet sites and also in a vintage ad for Coro-same design, (named 'Navarre') down to the rhinestones and leaves! The earrings I have are a round variation with still the same leaf pattern and pastel rhinetones and with a seed pearl circle-maybe purchased separately, but absolutely of the same design.
At first I thought it was Hollycraft because the craftsmanship is above most Coro pieces I have come across. And then I read that early 50's Coro pieces were made with heavier cast brass metal, with antiqued gold finish and crafted with more precision such as the pieces I have here.
The necklace is hinged and adjustable and the earrings are clip ons. Rhinestones and pearls are all intact and the gold finish as well, the back of the earrings have a bit of wear and the seed pearls have a tiny bit of nacre loss. No gold loss on the necklace-not even on the back.
