Working from Casey's sketch, I first embossed some clay with a burlap texture. From there, I cut out the anchor shape. Another piece of clay was also rolled out and from there the background buckle was created. The two pieces where then slipped and scored together for the three dimensional look you see.
After the first firing, the anchor was given a coat of tarnished gold while the background was given a high glossy white coat. The buckle has a diameter of 3".
For the belt, Casey chose a combination of striped and dotted fabric. The belt measures 2" by 36"

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Buckles can be gently cleaned with mild soap, soft towel and luke warm water. Belts should be spot cleaned with a mild soap and luke warm water. Creases in belt can be smoothed with a warm iron.
