I love to make mugs. I love the way a warm mug of coffee or tea feels in my hands and for that reason I give my mugs a little bit of a "waist". I think handles are so important, I've purchased some beautiful mugs but the handles are positioned so close to the mug that I burn my fingers whenever I try to pick up the hot cup. For this very reason I make sure that with all of my mugs are created to ensure a safe and pleasurable drinking experience. A lot of thought must go into trying to make the perfect mug. The feel of the lip has to be smooth. And let's not forget how the mug looks. The surface treatment must be special. If it's a mug that you take to work with you, it's one that you'll be looking at every day of your work week. It can brighten your space, especially if you don't have a lot of room for desk accessories. So as a mug-maker I feel that I have a responsibility to the world. Let me share my mugs with you!
100% handmade by me using soft earthenware clay. Both the clay and glazes that I use are non-toxic and foodsafe. This mug will be ok in the dishwasher but it's always best to handwash handmade earthenware pottery to ensure a long life.
This mug holds right around 10.5 ounces if filled to the brim.
