NYC, where I live, is not known for its overly friendly commuters. I wear my own avocado on my coat, and am stopped daily by smiling people dying to know about this quirky, fun pin. This is my favorite and most popular piece in my whole shop! Get one for yourself!

I created this avocado using a cameo punchneedle, which is akin to an ancient rug hooking technique on a smaller scale. I drew up the avocado on weaver's cloth and used my adjustable needle to create the pit. By slowly increasing the height of the needle, the pit becomes an incredibly realistic work of art! It's what makes punchneedle so special, and different from all other forms of embroidery!
It's double mounted on two layers of hand dyed felted wool, cream and deep dark purple, and a pin backing has been securly sewn onto the back.
The overall size is approximately 2 3/4" tall by 2 1/4" wide (at widest point). The punch needle portion is about 2 1/4" tall by 1 1/2" wide. This may vary just slightly as this is a made to order item.

Some elements may vary just slightly depending upon availability of products needed to create the sachet. I endeavor to stick as closely to original as possible but sometimes thread shades will vary slightly - as most are hand dyed.
