This Glass Painting brings the Sun to You every day!
(Living in Ireland made me do it!?)
I love Spirals...so I gave it a kind of "indian style".
Enjoy the Magic of Colour!!!
The "Sun"catcher looks amazing in a Window through natural light, under a Lamp using artificial light or just hung upon a plain white wall, beautifully reflecting the light from the golden and silver outlines.
About the making:
This Glasspainting takes about 3 days to complete, as every colour needs to dry seperately to prevent them from flowing together. The outlining in gold and silver is done twice (once before and once after the Glasspaint is dry). This includes the polished edge, which I cover in golden lead for the good looks. As a final finish I crochet the golden haenging with special strong yarn and loop it through the hole.
The Glassdisc ('Made in Ireland' by a small friendly Glass Shop)
measures 4.72 inches (12 cm) in diameter.
The Glass is 0.12 inches (3 mm) thick,
has polished edges
and a borehole for the haenging.
