Beautiful vintage dress, circa late 1940s/early 1950s. Constructed of lovely sheer white cotton voile. Scalloped white cotton floral/polka dot embroidery on the bodice and trimming the skirt. Four non-functioning rhinestone & plastic buttons up the front, side zipper. Short capped sleeves, lovely wide collar, fitted waist with loads of pintucks for a full, romantic long skirt. Just the perfect dress for traipsing about a summer garden.
Lying flat and zipped, the dress measures approximately:
Bust: 34"
Waist: 26"
Length: 53"
Condition is good and very wearable, but there are a few notable imperfections, namely: several light rust-colored marks throughout, a scattering of pinpoint-sized dark spots, some faint yellowing on the inside back collar, a few small holes/worn spots here and there, and a small chunk missing out of the embroidered scalloped hem (pictured). None of these are structural, and honestly I feel they are hardly noticeable when worn; in fact, I think these might make this a more wearable piece, though that may be a personal opinion--I'm always a little fearful of wearing flawless, pristine whites!
