All of the beads offered by Atlantis Glass & Bead are hand-made by glass artists Valentin and Patricia Hernandez at our home studio in the USA. Our beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln and properly cleaned to insure each piece will be enjoyed for generations. The quality of our work is of the utmost importance to us. Each item is carefully inspected to provide you with the highest quality product possible.
We use borosilicate glass from Corning, Momka, Glass Alchemy and Northstar to create our beads. Borosilicate glass is known for it's mysterious color spectrum, clarity and strength, which makes it ideal for your jewelry designs. It's unique chemical make-up provides for a glass that is twice as strong as "soft glass," more commonly known as Murano. The colors in borosilicate glass tend to be more earthy indoors, they pop and come alive in the sun.
