Below I explain my inspiration for my three goddess paintings:
The painting Goddess Reaching for Guidance is available as a Giclee print, jewelry, magnets, and a mouse pad in my shop as well... here is why I painted it: This painting depicts how it *feels* when I open up to my spiritual guides... Grounding to the earth, feeling the connection under my feet grow and anchor me to the ground. Centering low in my body, I feel my awareness expand out through my third eye... soul energy dances before my eyes and I feel complete and utter joy. I *know*... I believe there is so much more to life then what we can see with our eyes. We are literally eternal beings walking around wearing these "Earth Suit" bodies of ours and enjoying our time down here... breathing air and connecting with others and eating food and dancing on the ground. It is beautiful fabulous life and I'm grateful for it. I see this painting as a lovely reminder that we are never alone, we are always free to open in the joy of the moment and trust that All Is Well. And that we are very, very loved.
The Goddess at High Tide painting is also available as the original canvas, as a Giclee print, and on magents in my shop as well... here is what inspired me to paint it: This painting tells a story... and because of the story it tells (and the awesome blue and orange colors) it has become tied for my very favorite painting of all time. Let me tell you the story... here we go! Once, there was a woman. Feeling overwhelmed one day... the tide rushing in... she scrambled up to the highest peak of land she could find and watched the water surround her. Waves upon waves crashing in... huge walls of water surrounding her from all sided. As times of crisis often do, these tidal waves brought the woman down to her knees. Reminded her that she wasn't in control, that she was part of a larger picture, that she was a spiritual vessel and she needed help from a higher dimension. Lifting her face in prayer, she felt the gentle, strong, steady wind of a fleet of angels immediately swoop in to answer her prayer. Have you ever felt like this this goddess? Have you ever felt about to surrender to the tide of life? Has this surrender actually been part of a larger plan, one that lifted you in grace? I've found that there is never a shortage of Divine Guidance just when I need it most. Source Energy abounds all around. I might feel stranded on an island, no other land in sight... but I'm absolutely never alone. I just need to remember to ask. This painting reminds me... both with it's visual motion of the ocean waves and the fleet of angels swiftly speeding towards the island... and with it's gorgeous hues of yellows, apricot, turquoise and aqua... that love is all around.
Lastly, my Reaching for Guidance painting is available, as well as in Giclee prints and on necklaces too. For this painting, I chose lovely indigo and violet hues to reflect the sacred spiritual aspect of giving birth as well as to honor the woman's own divine intuition. As she feels her body begin to ready for birth, she allows the waves of her contractions to lift her higher and higher in grace. Grounding to the earth, she steadies herself physically by rooting her feet into the edge of the massive ocean, feeling her connection to the earth spiral and swirl, mixing into each oncoming series of waves. Turning her gaze upwards, she connects with the joy of the souls, loved ones who gather in celebration all around her, as she feels the soul of her child coming into it's own with love, happiness, and eager anticipation of life. Riding the crescendo of contractions that come to her aid and help her deliver her child, she raises her arms in welcome of the surrender she is experiencing and the rhythm of this precious event. Here is to all the light workers, birth workers, doulas, midwives, woman and children who experience the divine in childbirth every day.
