Handmade in my studio *Made to Order*
This stunning piece is made from recycled copper that is formed hammered, assembled, and blackened into a pattern that resembles the rays of the sun. The necklace is 15" around with an extension that extends it to be worn at both 16" or 18". Its sun ray design is inspired and named after the palace of Versailles and the decor that Louis XIV (the sun king) chose as embellishments. It is said that he chose to adorn his estates with the sun ray designs to symbolize his desires to be the center of power. This piece is hand made except for bit of chain. This design is also available in bare copper with a high polish finish as shown in the last photo.
Every piece is sanded slightly after blackening to bring out the texture of the hammered metal then sealed for protection.
If you want additional length added or to custom adjust the lengths of the points on the necklace, just ask. I am happy to accommodate any reasonable design adjustment requests at no charge.
